In her recent article for LinkedIn, Betsy Corcoran hits the general highlights and predictions for educational technology for 2014. Personalized learning and collaboration are key components that several forecasters touch on.
Interesting to note that the collaboration aspect between students and teachers carries multiple dimensions. We think of learning as a collaborative process between student and instructor, with a shift from “sage-on-the stage” to “guide-on-the-side.” Equally as important is the collaboration among these groups: teacher-to-teacher and student-to-student. I think we sometimes forget that the teacher-to-teacher collaboration is just as important!
