In March, we were fortunate to have two of our faculty from the Math Department to join us for Edu-Tech Cafe to share some of their innovative student engagement strategies.  Dr. Pam Webster highlighted her targeted feedback tip using Educreations to help explain and clarify math formulas for students.  Educreations is a free app that allows a user to use a white board space on their iPad or desktop computer browser to draw and annotate with digital ink.

Meanwhile, Dr. Stuart Anderson shared how he uses VoiceThread to engage with his students, providing a little bit of listening enjoyment while demonstrating the concept of ratio on his banjo.

For more information on VoiceThread, please visit our resource page.  Feel free to reach out to us at 903-886-5499 about how to incorporate these tools into your teaching.

Except for banjos.  Sorry, you are on your own on that one!

Stay tuned for other Edu Tech Cafe events!
