Faculty,
Dr. Adolfo Benavides, Provost and VP of Academic Affairs, and Dr. Julie McElhany, Director of the Center for Faculty Excellence & Innovation invite full-time faculty to submit applications for the “2015-2016 Faculty Fellowship – Special Project.” In keeping with the CFEI mission and goals to support faculty with their teaching, scholarship, and engagement in service, the CFEI intentionally chooses to approach projects from a faculty perspective and to engage interested faculty in leadership projects.
Special Project Topic: Lion Institutes for Educators (LIFE) professional development programs for faculty based on faculty career developmental stages (early career, mid-career, advanced career).
Project Description: The CFEI is launching the development of Lion Institutes for Educators (LIFE) programs based on the three faculty career developmental stages. The “Faculty Fellow – Special Projects” will design and develop the Lion Institutes for Educators (LIFE) programs and submit the proposed plan through the adoption process.
The attached documents describe this faculty fellowship and include an electronic copy of the application with instructions on how to apply. Applications are to be submitted by Friday, April 10th to include the endorsement of your department chair and college dean.
The Faculty Fellow will receive a stipend and one reassigned time. Additionally, $500 will be available for use in attending a conference to present the results of the project.
Please feel free to call or email me if you have questions.
