TAMUC Wins University Challenge Award

Congratulations to Dr. Wilson and his Construction Engineering team (Italo Cruz, Coydean Harmon, and Tyler Lynch) who won the inaugural “University Challenge Award” for the 3rd Annual Synchro Exchange User Conference. Synchro is an international leading provider of scheduling and virtual reality simulation software for the construction industry in the field of Building Information Modeling (BIM.) The team was tasked with utilizing Synchro software to create a BIM construction program. FCTT had the privilege of filming a few brief testimonials from each member of the team, which were included in the overall project’s submission. Synchro chose the A&M Commerce team-entry because of their utilization of Synchro software and overall enthusiasm. Synchro Vice President Eric Olsen mentioned, “They showed us a great program, and they were excited about it. That’s what we like to see.”

In addition to their title, the team will receive $2,500 and have the opportunity to present their work at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL in late January. Congratulations to Dr. Wilson and his team for a job well done!
