Adobe finds its Voice?

Adobe recently released Voice, a storytelling app currently available only on the iPad.  It allows a user to create presentations by narrating images, using either stock images from Adobe or from the iPad’s own Camera Roll.  The user can also select a “soundtrack” for their presentation from a library of royalty free songs provided by Adobe via the app.

The finished presentation can be shared via Facebook or Adobe’s own Voice site.  There are currently no means to export the presentation as a self contained file so the sharing options are rather limited for now.  Who knows what the future holds?

It will be interesting to see how educators may adopt and adapt this tool.  How will it fare against existing options like Prezi, Anitmoto, or even veterans like Keynote and PowerPoint?  It appears that Voice was designed for simplicity and quickly “story-boarding” your ideas using stock images and sound, while also allowing a bit of flexibility to use your own images.  Whether ease of use will prove to be its greatest asset remains to be seen.  Stay tuned!
